The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is gearing up to host the next event in the Regions Rising Webinar Series in partnership with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and their charitable arm, the Community Enterprise Foundation.

It goes without saying that the tourism industry has been hit hard by the COVID-19 restrictions, particularly with the closures of state borders. But there are also pockets of innovation around the country that is helping some towns through these tough times.

The panel will discuss the economic role of the tourism sector in regions, and how the role of domestic tourism has changed over the course of the pandemic. How can local tourism operators attract visitors from their own backyard, and is this enough to fill the void left by national and international visitors?

Join the panel in this free event, which will be held as a Zoom Webinar. There will be time for a Q&A session, and you may submit concise questions in advance when you register.
