2021 COVID-19 BUSINESS GRANT

Status: Closes 11:59pm Monday 13 September 2021

If you’re a business, sole trader or not-for-profit organisation in NSW and you've been impacted by the recent COVID-19 restrictions, you may be eligible for a one-off grant of $7,500, $10,500 or $15,000.

THE HAROLD MITCHELL FOUNDATION COMMUNITY GRANTS SCHEME

Status: Closes Friday 17 September 2021


Grants of up to $10,000 for organisations to deliver programs that target those who are disadvantaged or at risk of harm due to the social or economic impacts of COVIID-19.

2021 COVID-19 MICRO-BUSINESS GRANT

Status: Closes 11:59pm Monday 18 October 2021

A fortnightly payment of $1500 for NSW micro-businesses businesses, with a turnover between $30,000 and $75,000, impacted by COVID lockdown and restrictions while continuing to incur business costs.

JOBSAVER

Status: Closes Monday 18 October 2021

Fortnightly payments to help maintain employee headcount (as at 13 July) and provide cash flow support to businesses. Applications open late July. The payment will be equivalent to 40% of the weekly payroll for work performed in NSW to a maximum of $10,000 per week.

COVID-19 TECHVOUCHERS

Status: Closes 5pm Friday 29 October 2021

Funding of up to $50,000 for technology-rich startups, scaleups or small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to collaborate with Publicly Funded Research Organisations (PFROs) to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative R&D products and services that address the many disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Aboriginal Community Response Grants

Status: Closes 5pm Friday 19 November 2021

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support Aboriginal communities across NSW to reduce their risk of being exposed to COVID-19 and enable them to manage the impacts of the pandemic. Grants can be used for social and emotional wellbeing support; keeping communities connected; responding to immediate needs and/or; advocacy and information.

SUPPORTING CINEMAS' RETENTION ENDURANCE AND ENHANCEMENT OF NEIGHBOURHOODS (SCREEN) FUND

Status: Closes 5pm Friday 24 December 2021

Grants of up to $85,000 to support independent cinema operators who have experienced significant declines in revenue due to COVID-19. It supports the viability and recovery of independent cinema businesses in an environment where they are still returning to normality as the vaccine rollout progresses and Australia moves towards higher audience capacities.

SME RECOVER LOAN SCHEME

Status: Closes Friday 31 December 2021

The Scheme enhances lenders’ ability to provide cheaper credit, allowing many otherwise viable SMEs to access vital additional funding to get through the impact of Coronavirus, recover and invest for the future. The Government will work with lenders to ensure that eligible firms will have access to finance to maintain and grow their businesses.

CREATE NSW COVID DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

Status: Closes Monday 31 January 2022

Targeted support of up to $10,000 for individuals and groups, impacted by COVID-19 restrictions, in the ‘small-to-medium’ arts and cultural sector in NSW in recognition of their role as important generators of cultural and artistic activity and crucial employers of artists across the state.

SMALL BUSINESS FEES AND CHARGES REBATE

Status: Closes Thursday 30 June 2022

If you are a sole trader, the owner of a small business or a not-for-profit organisation in NSW, you may be eligible for a small business fees and charges rebate of $1500. This rebate helps businesses recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and encourages growth by reducing the cost of running a business.

RESIDENTIAL TENANCY SUPPORT PAYMENT

Status: Open
The residential tenancy support payment is available to eligible landlords who agree to reduce the rent of COVID-19 impacted tenants from 14 July 2021. You can currently only apply for amounts up to $3000. You'll be able to apply for amounts between $1,500 and $4,500 from 24 September 2021. Until then you can still make a claim for up to $3,000.

COVID-19 DISASTER PAYMENT - NEW SOUTH WALES

Status: Open

A lump-sum payment of between $325 and $600 a week for people who lost work and income due to a New South Wales COVID-19 public health order.

SMALL BUSINESS REBATE

Status: Open

A rebate of up to $500 for small business owners and sole traders in NSW who buy and install equipment to make their workplace safer.

PANDEMIC LEAVE DISASTER PAYMENT

Status: Open

Support of $1500 a fortnight if you live in New South Wales and can't earn an income because you must self-isolate or quarantine, or are caring for someone with COVID-19.

EXPORT ASSISTANCE GRANT

If you are an exporting business, or if you were exporting goods or services before the impacts of COVID-19, bushfires or drought, you may be eligible for an export assistance grant of up to $10,000.  
This grant helps eligible export businesses in NSW access global markets.

ASSISTANCE TO THE AVIATION SECTOR

Status: Open

The aviation sector has been disproportionally affected by COVID-19. Since March 2020, the Australian Government has implemented a range of measures to support the industry and maintain air connectivity for Australians.

SUPPORT ACT COVID-19 CRISIS RELIEF GRANTS

Status: Open

Cash grants of $2,000 ($2,700 for families with dependent children) for music and performing arts workers to help pay the rent/mortgage, put food on the table, keep connected by paying power or phone bills, registering or servicing the car, paying medical expenses and so on.

THE ACTORS BENEVOLENT FUND OF NSW EMERGENCY COVID-19 ASSISTANCE

Financial support to help relieve pressure for members of the performing arts community during the COVID-19 crisis. Applicants must provide copies of invoices or receipts for expenses for which they are requesting assistance.
