COVID-19 Update – Support of Businesses

To support you in accessing relevant information at a national level, the RDA Program Management Team is monitoring economic development-related announcements regularly and will be providing updates highlighting new information where appropriate.


The Prime Minister announced a number of new COVID-19 measures last night. The links to these are below:



The Treasury has released further information about the Australian Government’s package of support measures for businesses. This includes measures relating to:

  • Boosting cash flow for employers
  • Temporary relief for financially distressed businesses
  • Increasing the instant asset write-off
  • Backing business investment
  • Supporting apprentices; and
  • Support for Coronavirus-affected regions and communities.
